- Heavy coursework in general education requirements
- TAs and grad students teach many of the classes
- Sometimes hard to enroll in a required class
- Large lectures
- 76% of students live off campus
- College Station - not a great source of social life
- Parking can be difficult
- Campus and student body are both huge
- Only 22% of the classes have fewer than 20 students
- Not very diverse student body
Great job on the blog! This is really well done!
ReplyDeleteI graduated from A&M in 1999. I actually lived on campus for all four years, and I think that made my college experience more memorable and enjoyable. But I think you're right - most students move off campus after either their fresman or sophomore years. I generally agree with the other cons. I'm not sure I would call A&M a "jock school," but athletics is definitely a big deal at A&M, especially football.
